The book ‘Bloodywood’ contains a selection of 200 hand painted film posters from the collection of Mandy Elsas.
The foreword has been written by Ablade Glover, one of the greatest contemporary painters in Ghana today. Further contributions by Mrs. Birgit Meyer, besides being a university teacher for Religion Science and Cultural Antropology, she also specializes in Ghanaian movies and Mr. Ghariokwu Lemi, a film poster painter but more famous for the recordcovers he created for Fela Kuti. There are also short biographies of several of the film poster painters in the book.
